08 Feb Creative Generation seeks a regional Co-Ordinator for the Metropolitan region
Dear QATA members,
Please see the email below from Holley Wiles, the Program Manager for the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art.
The Metropolitan region is in need of a regional coordinator for the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art 2016 program.
Annabel Simmonds has done an outstanding job over the past four years but unfortunately, will be stepping down this year.
The role as regional coordinator is vital to the success of the program. The regional exhibition would not be possible without the commitment from regional coordinators.
A brief overview of the role:
· promoting the awards to schools and teachers ensuring they are aware of key dates, guidelines and entry requirements and regional exhibition information.
· coordinating the regional exhibition for the Metropolitan region. All students who submit works from the region are invited to exhibit and attend an official opening event where award recipients are announced. Your role will involve liaising with the gallery to organise the exhibition and opening event.
The regional coordinator handbook will step you through all elements of the role and there are monthly teleconferences to support you and discuss key milestones. As the program manager, I’m always available to assist and support regional coordinators from start to finish.
The role is not limited to one person; ideally there would be a lead coordinator and a support coordinator to share the load.
I seek the support from the Metropolitan region to ensure an exhibition is available for your students. Please contact me if you are interested in the role or would like further information.
I look forward to your continued support of the awards in 2016.
