Queensland-Smithsonian Fellowships

The Queensland-Smithsonian Fellowship Program gives three Queenslanders each year the opportunity to undertake research at the Smithsonian Institution based in the United States of America.

The Smithsonian is the world’s largest museum and research complex, comprising 19 museums in Washington, D.C. and New York City; the National Zoo; research centres in the US and elsewhere; a network of 20 libraries; and various education centres.  Go to the Smithsonian website for further information.

The Fellowship Program is a collaborative project under a Memorandum of Understanding between the Queensland Government and the Smithsonian, signed in March 2000 and extended until 2015 by Premier Bligh in June 2011.

Applications close at 5:00pm on Friday 9 March 2012.
