Established in 1961, QATA is managed by teacher volunteers and funded by membership subscription, to network with and service the needs of visual art educators in primary, secondary and tertiary sectors across Queensland.

'Cluster' meetings

Regular member meetings hosted at schools to discuss current curriculum issues and ideas, share and network. Our Brisbane meetings are both face-to-face and online for members around the state. Host a meeting in your region and we will help you organise and promote it.

A social space for Queensland Art Teachers and all others who are interested in the teaching of Visual Arts to share ideas, resources, student work and information relevant to the teaching of Visual Arts specifically in Queensland, as well as all of Australia.

Annual State Conference

This is our biggest event of the year. Two days of curriculum, artists, and hands-on workshops. An opportunity to meet members from all over Queensland.
