The 2018 Queensland Art Teachers Association State Conference will create opportunities for the EXCHANGE of ideas, knowledge and practice.

QATA exists because of the engagement and contribution of our members. Our primary goal is to connect arts educators, galleries, industry and artists. This year’s conference will provide opportunities to exchange what we know, and to work together to meet the demands of educational change while maintaining visible and vital arts programs throughout Queensland.

Attendees can pay by credit card or invoice.

An invoice will be emailed to you when you select to pay by invoice. Please allow a few days for processing.


 

Based on member feedback, the conference will run for two days this year –

Friday 20 July – Collaborate and exchange in curriculum focused sessions to support new senior syllabus implementation and Australian Curriculum

Saturday 21 July – Hands on professional development practical workshops and artwork exchange

VENUE: QUT Creative Industries, Kelvin Grove
TIME: 8:30AM – 4:30PM
Register for both days, Friday only or Saturday only.

Friday 20 July – Relax after an inspiring day of Exchange with refreshments, friends and access to the William Robinson Gallery.

VENUE: Old Government House, QUT, Gardens Point
TIME: 6:00PM – 8:30PM

QATA LIFE MEMBERSHIP AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO VISUAL ART EDUCATION IN QLD

The QATA committee is pleased to announce the inaugural QATA Life Membership Award. The award will be presented annually at the State Conference. The recipient will be recognised for his/her contribution to Visual Art Education in Queensland and receive life membership of QATA.

QATA members are encouraged to nominate potential recipients by addressing the following criteria in a maximum of 200 words.

CRITERIA:

  • The recipient will have made a significant contribution to the advocacy of Visual Art Education in Queensland.
  • The recipient will be a role model within the profession.

An individual need only be nominated once to be considered. The number of nominations received per nominee bears no weight in their selection.

Nominations should be emailed to the QATA committee qataexecutive@gmail. com by 22nd June, 2018 or nominate through Eventbrite during registration.
