CULTURAL LEARNING — WOMEN’S WEALTH WORKSHOP
TUE 27 NOV 2018

QAG | BOOK NOW
QAGOMA Learning’s series of cultural learning workshops for students provide experiential means of learning about and through culture, with a particular focus on connecting students with their own culture.

The Women’s Wealth workshop continues on the Gallery’s commitment to providing First Nations students with rich cultural learning opportunities with artists from the Pacific region. The workshop will connect female secondary students studying the Arts in South East Queensland with the artists and curators involved in realising the APT9 Women’s Wealth display at the Queensland Art Gallery.

Supported by an Australian Cultural Diplomacy Grant, the Women’s Wealth Project developed out of a week-long workshop initiated by QAGOMA in Bougainville, and it highlights the significance and endurance of women’s creative practices from the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB) and nearby islands in the Solomon Islands archipelago.
