29 Aug BLA Awards for Excellence in Visual Arts
The Business Liaison Association (BLA), in conjunction with the Peninsula Art Educators Association (PAEA), are launching bursaries for students interested in pursuing a career in Visual Arts or Creative Industries at TAFE or tertiary level.
Bursaries are open to year 12 students studying in the Visual Arts, Photography, Film and Television or Creative Arts SAS subjects. Students need to be achieving at a HA or VHA level in one or more visual arts subjects and demonstrate intent to pursue tertiary studies at TAFE or university.
The awards are in the form of a plaque and certificate, supported by a bursary of $1000 art supply voucher and three $500 vouchers respectively. The sponsors of the awards are Oxlades School Art Supplies, REACH, PAEA and ISSU.
This year James Cook University is also a sponsor of these awards. James Cook University is offering two x $1000 bursaries to students wishing to study in the field of Creative Industries at James Cook University.
The closing date for the awards is Friday, 11th of October 2013.
