Write about Art – Closing 22 July
‘Write about Art’ is a critical art writing development program for Queensland students from state and non-state schools in Years 11 and 12. In 2013 25 students will be selected to participate in a mentorship program and have their work published in a full colour anthology by Eyeline Magazine, a leading visual art journal.

QRAA Young Artist Prize – Closing 22 July
The Queensland Regional Art Awards is an annual visual arts prize and exhibition for established and emerging artists living in regional and remote Queensland. The program aims to highlight the wealth of creative talent located outside the capital city and provide a platform for further professional development.

Web PD workshop for visual art teachers: Installation Art
In association with One Channel, Flying Arts has pleasure in presenting a live interactive web training program for primary and middle school art teachers wanting to know more about: Installation Art – using recycled materials.
This workshop is an interactive One Channel webcast for primary and middle school teachers who are interested in learning about the use of recycled materials to create installation artwork. Flying Arts artist Scott Maxwell will guide participants through the design and making process that form the final installation artwork.
There will be a Q & A session following the workshop and participants will be able to download Teacher Resource Notes and a PD certificate.
