We are thrilled to announce that the 2021 QATA conference can proceed as planned on Friday and Saturday 16-17 July! Due to reinstated Covid-19 restrictions for social distancing and interstate travel, we have made a few adjustments to the scheduled program:
We have partnered with Primary Art Network, QAGOMA and QCAA to deliver a rich and dynamic program specifically targeting primary, middle years and senior Visual Art teachers.
Registration includes attendance for one or two full days of presentations, panels and workshops, morning tea and lunch, and our QATA conference goodie bag.
Most workshop materials are included, however some workshops may require participants to bring preparatory materials or stimulus objects. This information will be forwarded to workshop participants closer to the date. Trade stalls will be onsite on Friday with samples and merchandise bags from a range of art suppliers.

We are excited to present not one, but two inspiring keynote speakers –
Dr Joachim Froese
and
Dr Fiona Foley.
Participants will be able to select from over 14 hands-on workshops and participate in new programs for sharing and networking with creative professionals.
Registration is at C block Performance Centre, Southbank TAFE from 8am both days.
Ernest Street, South Brisbane.
Street parking is limited. The closest parking is available at Southbank Parklands.
There are numerous public transport options at South Bank. South Bank and South Brisbane train stations are close by, and South Bank Busway Station is located right beside the TAFE campus.
This year, we invited teachers to enter an artwork created by a student in years 5 to 9 to appear on the 2021 QATA Conference tote bag. We have plenty of exciting entries and as a conference ticket holder, we would like you to vote for your favourites.
Thank you for your time and support.
We look forward to revealing the winning entry at the 2021 conference.
