QATA CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

QATA CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

The 2019 Queensland Art Teachers Association State Conference EXCHANGE 2.0 follows on from the incredible success of QATA’s 2018 2-day Exchange, with more hands-on workshops and even more opportunities for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and practice.

QATA exists because of the engagement and contribution of our members. Our primary goal is to connect arts educators, galleries, industry and artists. This year’s conference again provides opportunities to exchange what we know and to work together to meet the demands of innovative visual art education, while maintaining visible and vital arts programs throughout Queensland.

Friday 19 July – retaining a strong curriculum focus and an emphasis on community connections, the Friday program will provide practical support for teaching Visual Arts in Practice, the General Senior Visual Art syllabus and Australian Curriculum in secondary,  primary and early years.

Saturday 20 July – choose from 10 exciting professional development practical workshops over 2 full sessions and finish with an artwork exchange in the afternoon.

VENUE: QUT Creative Industries, Kelvin Grove
TIME: 8:30AM – 4:30PM
Register for both days, Friday only, or Saturday only.

This year, we have access to the Roundhouse Theatre at QUT – this means less movement and travel time between sessions! This is also the venue for Friday afternoon drinks and networking. We hope you can join us.
