QCAD Art & Design School Program

Griffith University and Creative Futures is pleased to announce nominations are now due for the QCAD Art & Design School Program

In 2024, Creative Futures and Queensland College of Art and Design (QCAD) will present the QCAD Art and Design School Program, a series of intensive weekend visual arts and design workshops delivered at four regional Queensland high schools.

Following the success of the 2023 program, 2024 will see the QCAD Art & Design School Program take place at Cairns, Gin Gin, Rockhampton and Mackay.

Nominated Year 7 – 12 visual arts and design students in these regions will work alongside a team of renowned faculty from Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art and Design, to develop skills and explore creative processes and perspectives in their chosen craft. 

To celebrate the participant’s hard workQCAD is pleased to present a concluding exhibition at each host school, which will be open to families, friends and peers.

Who can participate: Students who will be in school grades 7 – 12 in 2024 can be nominated by their teacher.

 Teacher & School Support Staff Professional Development: Limited places are available in each workshop for High School Teachers (any discipline) and School Support Staff to attend for Professional Development purposes. Cost for Teachers and Support Staff is $ 280 incl GST. We ask that Teachers and Support Staff attend for the full duration of the program.

 *limited number of fully funded places are available for students who would not be able to attend this program due to financial hardship.  We ask that teachers indicate eligible students on the nomination form.
